**YOUR TEAM**

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where Engineers, Biologists, Medical doctors and Psychologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Multiscale Brain communication Research line is coordinated by Prof. Luciano Fadiga, who has extensive experience in the neurophysiology of the motor system.

The research focuses on studying the mechanisms by which neural implants enable bidirectional communications with nervous tissue, in particular the study of biotechnological approaches to minimize undesired host responses and achieve intimate neuron-device interaction.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

- Find novel bio-hybrid interfaces and coatings for next-generation brain devices.
- In vivo assessment of acute/chronic inflammatory response using electrical characterization and histological analysis.

**WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE**
- A PhD on neuroscience and similar disciplines
- Documented experience on Neural Interface
- A strong publication record
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Good command in spoken and written English

- Experience on Rodents surgery
- Knowledge of Imagej, Biorender, Matlab
- Good communication skills
