Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
**Position Summary**:
We're looking for a **Global Commodity Manager Castings **for Arco (TN) or Rivoli (TO) or Reggio Emilia Location
This** Global Commodity Manager Castings **position develops and oversees the strategic sourcing of Global castings machine castings categories while ensuring alignment to business unit plants located throughout the world. This individual will track and report on market commodity drivers, develop global category strategies, support advanced design engineering, engage in new product implementation, and support plant operations. The role provides exposure to senior leadership by recommending sourcing plans, gaining consensus, and creating change throughout the organization. The Manager will continue to evolve the category strategy, taking into account risk management and ensuring supply chains are optimized for best total cost. This position serves as the leader for the assigned category.
**Main Responsibilities**:
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:
- Lead and drive best value sourcing by developing category expertise pertaining to the world supply, technology, pricing, quality, availability, and risk mitigation. Build and maintain a market report with forecasts to enable the business to respond in advance to emerging trends and market disruptors.
- Consult and collaborate closely with Global Business Units relative to supply chain needs, identifying best value opportunities, supporting sourcing for new product introduction, and identifying suppliers to execute the category strategy.
- Oversee approved projects with Business Unit Sourcing, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Personnel to ensure project schedules and a smooth transition.
- Develop written supply agreements with suppliers, addressing risk management and commodity index pricing. Maintain relationship with suppliers’ leadership to ensure commercial, service, and legal performance commitments.
- Leads competitive benchmarking activities to identify and address value opportunities.
**Job Position Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or in a related industry or field
- 10+ years of experience leading and supporting global sourcing initiatives
- Supplier negotiation and contract initiation skills
- Strategic sourcing roadmap for a 5 - 10-year plan (including trend analysis and innovation)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Strong analytical and business acumen skills
- Record of accomplishment in supplier management maximizing the value of an agreement and realizing best in class cost, savings, delivery/service, and innovation
- Proven ability to drive business results

- Delivering best cost initiatives year over year
- Project management and coordination skills
- Frequent travel up to 30%, including international travel
