The Institutional Affairs Specialist plays an essential role in supporting the implementation of the institutional relations strategy of Baker Hughes in Italy, to ensure Baker Hughes the conditions needed to maintain in Italy and further strengthen its centre of excellence for the development and manufacturing of new technologies.

In this role he/she will contribute to build and protect strong network with local and national Governments and other relevant external stakeholders and to enhance Baker Hughes reputation as a key foreign investor, a key employer in Italy and a key player in the energy sector.

He/she will carry on political and legislative monitoring and analysis at national and EU level, connect and coordinate with other teams or internal functions to capture all potential input and relevant topics of company interest, assess the external environment and potential impact to Baker Hughes operations and business in Italy.

He/she will engage with local Institutions in Italy to promote, develop, and boost initiatives in the territory and among Baker Hughes population enhancing Baker Hughes role as social player committed to sustainability and net-zero emissions.

He/she will also take care of the “Value of identity” project, aimed at reviewing, preserving, digitalizing, and enhancing the historical archive of Nuovo Pignone boosting its technological and cultural heritage.

He/she will report to the Institutional Affairs team within the Nuovo Pignone Presidency.

As an Institutional Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for:

- Contributing to the implementation of the Gov relations strategy to support business growth and operations, e.g., drafting documentations targeted to Institutional stakeholders, such as white papers
- Collecting accurate and timely monitoring about political developments across Italy and at EU level and provide intelligence to internal stakeholders on advocacy, lobby and potential funding opportunities
- Building relationships engaging with external stakeholders, evaluating potential collaborations that may be functional to Baker Hughes positioning and growth.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Display Institutional Affairs experience or specific interest
- Hold a Law Degree and Master in Institutional Affairs preferred
- Show knowledge of Italian and European Institutions and bodies’ organization, political agenda, priorities and law-making processes
- Have good project management skills and attitude with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines
- Show strong interpersonal and writing skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of audiences
- Be able to develop interaction at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments, and effectively manage in a matrix organization
- Be a clear thinker, with the ability to support and boost change
- Be able to work with 3rd party agencies to drive success
- Be fluent in written and spoken English
