Job Description
Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will feature a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjunct” systems, piloted and unpiloted. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector in the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. The resources who will work within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Cyber & Security Solution Area, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for our offices in Rome, Genoa, and Naples. The person will be responsible for the following activities:
* Designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing systems and services based on on-premise infrastructures (VMware and Microsoft);
* Supporting the design of complex architectures to meet customer requirements with particular attention to security aspects (Integrity, availability, and confidentiality), effectiveness, and efficiency of the designed solutions.
* Ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of on-prem environments, collaborating with architects, software developers, system administrators, and security engineers. Education: degree in Engineering/STEM disciplines Seniority: Expert/Senior At least 2 years in Information Technologies projects and in on-Prem environments with excellent knowledge of technologies and attention to security aspects Technical knowledge and
skills:
* Skills in designing and implementing complex virtualization infrastructures using solutions such as Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Red Hat OpenShift, or Openstack/OpenShift;
* Skills in designing and implementing Identity Management infrastructures;
* Skills in designing and implementing Microsoft Sharepoint, Exchange on-prem, Active Directory infrastructures.
* Experience in designing architectures in HA, BC and/or DR scenarios is a plus
* Skills in designing and implementing Storage, SDS infrastructures, and Backup and VDI solutions Behavioral
skills:
* Good aptitude for teamwork
* Effective communication skills
* Being a reliable and flexible team player
* Having a creative mindset and ability to effectively analyze problems Language
