Are you a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a strong foundation in accounting and financial controls? We’re looking for a Senior accountant to join our finance team, where your focus will be on Internal controls, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and a variety of ad-hoc financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Internal controls/SOX Compliance: Assist in maintaining and testing internal controls to ensure financial reporting is compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Support SOX audits and work with internal and external auditors to provide documentation and explanations as needed.
- Journal Entries: Post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries accurately and timely. Review and ensure proper account classification and compliance with accounting policies.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Follow up on outstanding items and ensure resolutions are in line with company procedures.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to support senior management in decision-making.
- Ad-Hoc Financial Tasks: Handle a variety of other financial tasks as needed, including system updates, process improvements, and financial analysis for special projects.
- Ad-Hoc Administration Tasks: Help other teams as required. Legal, Operations, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

- Italian and English speaker.
- Experience: Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, with a focus on compliance, accounting, and reconciliations. Experience in financial reporting and working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced skills preferred). Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in an environment with varying priorities.
