About Ontologie
Ontologie is a Creative Agency expanding creative possibilities by blending Frontier Technologies, Human Artistry and Contemporary Culture.
We partner with Fashion, lifestyle, and luxury brands to produce high-end campaigns and narrative content—Images and videos, integrating advanced technologies such as AI while maintaining rigorous creative, cultural, and brand standards. We are currently expanding our core internal creative team.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Art Director to join Ontologie internally.
This role will lead the creative team and work side by side with the Founder & Creative Director to:
- Define and evolve visual languages
- Lead campaigns and creative direction across projects
- Grow Ontologie’s creative intelligence and internal standards
- Help shape the long-term creative direction of the studio
This is a role for someone who wants to help build a new creative model at a moment of real transformation, not simply execute briefs.
This is not a freelance position, not a project-by-project collaboration, not a branding job, not a design job.
What You Will Do
- Lead art direction for fashion, luxury, beauty, design, and lifestyle campaigns
- Develop strong visual concepts, references, and visual systems
- Translate strategy and positioning into generative AI and hybrid images, films, and coherent visual narratives
- Mentor and guide junior creatives, setting a high bar for quality, rigor, and thinking
- Work side by side with creative and technical teams to develop effective creative workflows
- Be involved early in the thinking and conceptual phases, contributing ideas, structure, and direction
- Help define and evolve Ontologie’s long-term creative vision
Who You Are
- Background in art direction within fashion, luxury, or editorial contexts
Experience in at least one of the following:
- Independent editorial magazines or platforms, or
- Boutique creative studios, or
- In-house creative teams at strong, design-led brands
- A genuine interest in exploring the potential of AI-generated imagery and next-gen tools, curious and open-minded toward new creative processes and tools
- A strong eye for imagery, culture, typography, and visual systems
- Able to think in systems and narratives, not just individual images or layouts
- Comfortable leading ideas and creative direction
- Motivated to grow inside a studio, contribute long-term, and help build something meaningful
- Gen AI a Plus
- Art Direction on set photo shooting a Plus
- Fashion & Luxury background a must

Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and aligned with seniority, experience, and responsibility, with room to grow as the role and the studio evolve.
