The Role
As an M&A Tax Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on all tax aspects of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and private equity deals. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, providing strategic and technical insight to optimise deal structures and ensure compliance with Italian and international tax regulations. This role offers exposure to complex, high-profile transactions and a clear progression path within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage M&A tax due diligence and structuring projects for both domestic and international transactions.
Advise on tax implications related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
Prepare and review technical tax analyses, reports, and client deliverables.
Collaborate closely with deal teams, including Corporate Finance, Legal, and Transaction Services.
Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.
What You’ll Bring
Professional qualification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent).
Minimum 8 years' experience in M&A tax, ideally gained within a Big 4 or leading advisory environment.
Strong technical understanding of Italian corporate tax law and international tax principles.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in Italian and English.
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new client opportunities.
