Their M&A tax division is experiencing significant growth, creating an opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious professional to join one of the most respected teams in the market.
The Role
As an M&A Tax Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on all tax aspects of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and private equity deals. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, providing strategic and technical insight to optimise deal structures and ensure compliance with Italian and international tax regulations. This role offers exposure to complex, high-profile transactions and a clear progression path within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage M&A tax due diligence and structuring projects for both domestic and international transactions.
- Advise on tax implications related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
- Prepare and review technical tax analyses, reports, and client deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with deal teams, including Corporate Finance, Legal, and Transaction Services.
- Manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.
What You’ll Bring
- Professional qualification (CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent).
- Minimum 8 years' experience in M&A tax, ideally gained within a Big 4 or leading advisory environment.
- Strong technical understanding of Italian corporate tax law and international tax principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in Italian and English.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop new client opportunities.
