We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s growing team within the space industry. You will play a key role in the design, analysis, verification and delivery of flight-qualified mechanical and thermal hardware for satellite payloads.

Key Responsibilities

- Mechanical design and analysis of spaceborne radar structures and subsystems
- Perform structural analyses
- Perform thermal and thermo-mechanical analyses for space environments
- Develop mechanical and thermal system architectures for payloads and sub-systems
- Produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings
- Design and support mechanical and thermal test campaigns
- Support integration, verification and qualification of flight hardware

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal engineering principles
- Strong experience with CAD and CAE tools, including:
- SolidWorks
- CREO
- FEA tools (ANSYS, Nastran, Femap or similar)
- Solid understanding of the full engineering lifecycle (concept → design → analysis → qualification → delivery → in-service)
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
