Job Description
Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and construction of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems.” Employed for multi-domain operations in defense, the system will feature a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjunct” systems, both manned and unmanned. The program, among the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. This challenge aims to strengthen the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, by identifying and making available innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure a generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. The resources who will work within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Aeronautics Division, in the Aircraft B.
U., within the Materials & Processes Technologies organizational unit, we are looking for a Materials and Process Specialist focused on activities related to composite materials at the Pomigliano d'Arco (Na) site. The resource will be integrated into the Materials and Processes (M&P) Office and will report, in addition to their direct hierarchical supervisors, also to the other company functions operating within the GCAP Program. The need to introduce resources into the activities related to the GCAP program will ensure that the resource collaborates with research entities (universities and research centers), potential suppliers of products/processes, and Customers to achieve the objectives required by the Program. The international nature of the Program will require cooperation with colleagues from other foreign companies. ## Main activities:
* Planning of M&P activities and supervision of activity progress, coordinating timelines and technical content, ensuring compliance with technical requirements
* Management of relationships with company functions involved in the Program
* Preparation of technical documentation as output of the activities. In particular, issuance of:
* definition of requirements
* requests for experimentation
* technical evaluation of results
* derivation of admissible values
* documentation relating to simulation activities
* issuance of material and process technical specifications
* Verification of elaborations developed by external entities
* Preparation of corporate technical presentations derived from activity development
* Supervision of activities at the Company and at external entities for the various phases of the activities ##
Education:
Master's degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials), Chemistry or equivalent ## Seniority: Junior: 1-3 years of experience ## Technical
skills:
* Knowledge of the main characteristics of composite materials for aeronautical applications, with particular interest in thermosetting (especially epoxy) and thermoplastic matrices. ## Behavioral
