Chief Technology Officer - Global Technology Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our Engineering department and drive the overall technology strategy for our SaaS scale-up. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable, high-performance web applications, and ensuring the platform architecture can support the scale and flexibility required for growth while managing cloud infrastructure, security, and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and guide the growth of the Engineering department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, empowerment, and accountability;
- Ensure all products meet necessary security and regulatory standards, with a strong focus on privacy and data protection;
- Develop and execute a long-term technology roadmap aligned with the company's business objectives;
- Oversee the development of the SaaS platform, working closely with Product Management to ensure timely delivery of scalable and innovative features;
- Collaborate with Project Management to implement Agile methodologies and best practices to streamline development and deployment processes;
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation in products and processes to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in a leadership role linked to the Engineering department of a SaaS, fostering collaboration and innovation, and building a high-performance culture;
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment, managing the challenges of rapid business growth and platform scaling;
- Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development methodologies, as well as technical expertise in backend (Ruby/RoR, Node.js, PHP), frontend (JavaScript, Vue.js, React), databases, API development, cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Experience leading teams accustomed to working with Agile methodologies;
- Solid soft skills, including the ability to align technical strategies with business goals, navigating complex trade-offs between product innovation and operational efficiency, excellent problem-solving and data-driven approach, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
