Overview of the Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mechanical Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting mechanical assessments on submarine cable systems to evaluate their ability to endure mechanical forces.

Utilizing a theoretical framework, the engineer will establish optimized testing circuits, measurement instruments, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and engineering teams to comprehend project requirements.

The engineer will oversee laboratory personnel involved in testing, execute testing procedures, and interpret test outcomes. Depending on their level of expertise, the candidate may also be tasked with scheduling tests and leading research and development initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Mechanical Testing Engineer with the following qualifications:

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in testing laboratories;
  • A master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach;
  • Genuine enthusiasm for laboratory work;
  • Excellent collaborative skills;
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • A solid interest or expertise in electrical engineering aspects would be advantageous, as well as experience in welding processes.
