Position Overview

The Quality Assurance and Improvement Specialist is tasked with overseeing three critical domains:

  • Management of the Prysmian continuous improvement initiative, coordinating the Quality Continuous Improvement project portfolio alongside local teams globally.
  • Engagement in operational digital initiatives, actively participating in both ongoing projects and future advancements.
  • Provision of training and support to local teams, orchestrating and delivering workshops on continuous improvement methodologies and other quality-related competencies.

This role requires close collaboration with various departments and demands a high level of autonomy to ensure timely execution of activities and projects, meeting established objectives.

The Specialist will also be responsible for conducting data analysis and delivering technical presentations regarding project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of the Quality Continuous Improvement project portfolio, which includes:

  • Evaluating and validating project proposals submitted by local teams.
  • Establishing regular follow-up procedures to ensure effective project execution.
  • Collaborating with local quality improvement teams to offer training and support on improvement methodologies.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive project library, including completed projects utilized as case studies.
  • Assigning A3 Sensei and Junior certifications based on established merit criteria.
  • Connecting with Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts for ongoing best practice exchanges.

Organization and execution of training sessions on the A3 methodology for local teams, which encompasses:

  • Assessing requests from local teams and identifying training needs based on Quality and Manufacturing KPIs.
  • Defining the preliminary training schedule, session agendas, and training materials.
  • Collaborating with local teams to structure real-case scenarios for workshop analysis.
  • Leading the execution of workshop sessions with local teams.
  • Providing ongoing support to local teams between training sessions.
  • Ensuring that projects are effectively monitored and completed in alignment with training content.

Participation in the development of digital projects pertinent to Operations, which includes:

  • Collaborating with Digital Innovation to identify and select relevant use cases.
  • Working with local teams to construct use-case scenarios and define project scopes.
  • Managing communication and decision-making processes with external partners.
  • Assisting in the collection of data and process information for digital model integration.
  • Supporting the validation process of the model, its implementation, and follow-up activities until project completion.
  • Identifying and alerting the project team to potential issues that may affect project timelines.

Support for the FastTrack program extension, with a focus on developing quality functionalities and consolidating existing implementations, which includes:

  • Gaining a thorough understanding of FastTrack functionalities relevant to quality management (control plans, autocontrols, reports).
  • Assisting the program team and local teams in fit-gap analysis and defining new requirements.
  • Supporting local teams during project implementation.
  • Analyzing issues and bugs for prompt and effective corrective actions.
  • Ensuring local teams comprehend the application’s usage.
  • Maintaining data consistency and alignment with group reporting.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role within technology or manufacturing.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with fundamental quality improvement tools (e.g., Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams).
  • Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Capability to identify potential technical or procedural issues, propose solutions, and engage colleagues in collaborative problem-solving.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to the work environment's context.
  • Attention to detail and proactive approach.
  • Experience managing inter-departmental and multinational relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis (e.g., Pivot tables) and a solid understanding of SAP.
