Wood is seeking a Senior Process Safety/HSE Design Engineer to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Design HSE aspects, studies, and workshops in a wide range of Projects (Refinery, Petrochemical, Pharma) under the coordination of the Design HSE Department Manager.

  • First, and preferably, further degree level qualifications covering Engineering, Process / Design Safety or Environmental disciplines.
  • Experience in chairing HAZID / HAZOP workshop.
  • Experience with SIL Allocation / LOPA studies.
  • Experience in HSE aspects in engineering design (safety distances, ergonomics, fire & gas, etc).
  • Knowledge of CE marking according to European Safety Directives.
  • Ability in team-working.
  • Multi-tasking approach.
  • Availability for business trips.
  • TUV (or equivalent) Functional Safety certification will be appreciated.
  • Fluent English - good Italian.
  • Knowledge of French or German Language is a plus.
