The Villanova University College of Professional Studies invites qualified individuals to apply for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach in the VIISTA Program, a 100% online interdisciplinary educational program that trains students to become immigrant advocates ready to serve migrants and refugees.
The Program consists of three modules, with Module 1 providing a foundation for the program, and Modules 2 and 3 focusing on immigration law and practice, designed to train individuals to become Department of Justice (DOJ) partially accredited representatives or fully accredited representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct classes in a professional manner, adhering to University and College of Professional Studies policies and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit accurate student grades and other documents as required.
- Regularly assess student work, providing written feedback on assignments and activities.
- Engage in the online learning community, ensuring a strong presence and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
- Answer student questions and provide guidance as needed.
- Attend college-wide meetings and events.
- Support and follow college policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- LAW degree, including experience in immigration law practice.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Blackboard, Canvas, and other Instructional Design Tools, as well as Web Conferencing Tools.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and theories.
- Experience teaching online, particularly in a higher education setting.
