Job Title: Renewable Energy Technician

At Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, we are committed to creating a sustainable future through the development and installation of renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Technician to join our team in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service and maintenance of wind turbines at our customers' wind farms, focusing on large components replacement.
  • Independently solve problems on site to ensure high operational reliability and provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Support our customers both remotely and onsite, and coordinate service operations and resolve product issues during large correctives.
  • Perform pre-defined, technical tasks such as basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering and maintenance jobs.

Requirements:

  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
  • At least a high school diploma (mechanical or electrical is a plus) and minimum 2 years of experience in the electricity- or mechanical industry.
  • Experience in wind industry is considered a significant advantage.
  • Comfortable working at high altitudes and thorough and high safety awareness.
  • Experience in working with cranes and platforms.
  • Driving license is a requirement in the service and shall be flexible and prepared to travel as our customers' wind farms are spread over a large geographical area.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal, as some of the documentation and other tasks are completed in English.
