Job Description

MerMec Engineering's Applied Electromagnetics Business Unit is seeking a Junior Radio Communication Engineer to support the team in analysis and development tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of radio communication systems and networks.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and develop functional blocks and algorithms for radio communication using Matlab/Octave prototyping and subsequent C/C++ development.
  • Contribute to system-level designs of radio communication systems and networks.
  • Carry out testing of communication systems or components.
  • Contribute to R&D activities in the field of terrestrial and satellite communications.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering.
  • PhD degree in a telecommunication-related field is a desirable plus.
  • Robust knowledge of radio communication standards, including DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2/S2X/RCS2, GSM, UMTS, LTE, and IEEE 802.11x.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing and modulation schemes.
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS and IP-based communication networks.
  • Basic understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Good proficiency in English language.
