Job Description

MerMec Engineering's Applied Electromagnetics Business Unit is seeking a skilled Junior Radio Communication Engineer to support the team in analysis and development tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and testing of radio communication systems and networks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct system and component-level analyses of communication systems and devices
  • Analyze and develop functional blocks and algorithms for radio communication using Matlab/Octave and C/C++
  • Contribute to system-level designs of radio communication systems and networks
  • Perform testing of communication systems or components
  • Participate in R&D activities in terrestrial and satellite communications
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering
  • PhD in a telecommunication-related field (desirable)
  • Extensive knowledge of radio communication standards (DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2/S2X/RCS2, GSM, UMTS, LTE, IEEE 802.11x)
  • Understanding of digital signal processing and modulation schemes
  • Knowledge of IP-based communication networks and Unix/Linux OS
  • Basic understanding of network security principles and practices
  • Good proficiency in English language
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and office automation tools
  • Available to travel for on-site test activities
