Job Title and Salary

The successful candidate will be appointed as a Youth In Work Programme Policy Officer (Regular Consultant Level II) with an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is located in Rome, Italy, with frequent missions to the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw upon relevant technical expertise to support Country Offices through Regional Bureau coordinators in the Programme Coordination Team.
  • Coordinate inputs for and produce strategic documents, including remarks, talking points, presentations, briefing notes, concept notes, and proposals.
  • Lead the Programme Coordination Team in preparing consolidated reporting to the Foundation and oversee the preparation of global and country reports.
  • Organize the Global Programme Meeting and lead on knowledge management and communications.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should hold a university degree in one of the following disciplines: agricultural economics, economics, agricultural and rural development, international relations, development studies, communications, journalism, social sciences, or other related fields. You should also have at least 10 years of post-graduate professional experience in agriculture, agriculture economics, international development, international relations, or other fields relevant to rural development and food systems. Fluency in English is required, and intermediate knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is desirable.
