Job Title: Fluidic Components Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Fluidic Components Engineer to join our team at Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing fluidic components for next-generation mechanical transmissions, engines, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture system requirements and flow them down to assess component architecture and key characteristics.
  • Collect, define, and release technical requirements of components like pumps, filters, valves, strainers, heat exchangers, and sensors.
  • Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
  • Lead and execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Ensure design and hardware deliverables to internal and external customers, embracing Avio Aero design execution quality, within deadlines agreed with technical leaders and/or program managers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Physics, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Robust knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations, hydraulic and electrical disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge in defining fluidic component design intent, lead analysis, support reviews, support procurement, and validation in all product lifecycle.
  • Strong previous working experience on fluidic mechanical components and fluidic systems, preferably in aeronautical section.
  • Fundamental knowledge of CAD (preferable Unigraphics) and Geometrical Dimensional & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Practical use of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Great accountability/collaboration & interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Capability to interface with internal departments and to manage technical relationships with external companies, suppliers, and customers.
  • Fluent in written and oral Italian and English.
