Supplier Quality Engineer Role at Freudenberg

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Freudenberg.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential suppliers to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Develop suppliers in the prototyping phase, working closely with engineering and purchasing teams.
  • Ensure supplier products and processes align with Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Perform regular supplier audits to guarantee compliance with product and process specifications.
  • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality performance.
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
  • Manage supplier complaints and non-conformity issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1 supplier of assembled complex components).
  • Technical background or equivalent working experience in metal forming, metallic components, or plastic components manufacturing.
  • Preferably certified process auditor according to VDA 6.3 or equivalent.
  • Required English language competence (B2 or above).
  • Preference for German language competence.
  • Frequent business trips (up to 50%) especially in the initial phase.
