About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our Research and Development team at Gowan USA. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of new products and processes, ensuring the quality and safety of our products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Analytical Testing: Develop and execute analytical methods to test the quality and purity of raw materials, active ingredients, and formulated products.
  • Interpret and Communicate Results: Accurately interpret and communicate test results to team members and stakeholders, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and Maintain Analytical Methods: Develop and maintain robust analytical methods, including GC, GC/MS, HPLC, and HPLC/MS, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with synthesis, process development, and formulation development teams to ensure seamless integration of analytical results into product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure that all analytical testing is conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company quality standards.
  • Lead Technical Transfer: Lead the technical transfer of analytical methods between Gowan USA and external partner companies and institutions.
  • Support Business Growth: Provide analytical support to drive business growth, including the development of new products and processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, with substantial experience developing robust methods on standard industrial analytical instruments.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of organic chemicals, agricultural chemicals, and formulations; experience with supplier quality management programs; proficient in operation of personal computers using standard office and network software.
  • Language: English language is a requirement.
