About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Buyer to join our Procurement Department at Argotec S.r.l. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing processes and procedures to improve efficiency with direct materials, while ensuring the company's operational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure continuity of supply, considering price, quality, and delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Evaluate market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate prices, terms, and quality requirements with suppliers, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve complex delivery, quality, or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
  • Value Analysis: Perform value analysis to identify cost improvements and optimize procurement processes.
  • Supplier Management: Check the capacity of suppliers and availability of materials, and manage master data to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Participate in Supplier Audits and ensure that suppliers meet quality standards.
  • Cost Reduction: Set up a cost reduction plan and make supplier and lead time analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to the Engineering and Program Management team in the technical harmonization of required design.
  • Compliance: Control for ITAR/EAR items and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in an international environment, preferably in the aerospace/space industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to cope with tight schedules and strict technical requirements, and well-developed negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of MRP operating principles, SAP or similar management program, and contractual and economic aspects.
  • Language: Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proactive and Curious: Proactive and curious person with a passion for procurement and supply chain management.
  • Aerospace/Space Experience: Previous experience in the aerospace/space industry, preferably in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Aerospace/Space Standards: Knowledge of aerospace/space standards (EN9100, ECSS).
