About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Assist Digital. As a key member of our DevOps Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active participation in the software development process, with a focus on implementing security practices and identifying security issues within existing processes.
  • Creation of new paths to identify security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Compliance and application of company security regulations and standards during all stages of development and implementation.
  • Training and guidance of technical staff on security-related issues in software development.
  • Collaboration with other technical teams to ensure the effective implementation of security procedures and protocols.
  • Implementation of CI/CD pipelines on GitLab, monitoring systems, and infrastructure management using Terraform or similar tools.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and security principles.
  • Time-management and work-prioritization skills.
  • Experience with build systems like Jenkins and Maven.
  • Strong skills in Git, good knowledge of development best practices, and good knowledge of network protocols and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with security monitoring and log tools (ELK, Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace).
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Skills in Linux, Unix, and Docker.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance tools (Black Duck, SonarQube, Fortify, Snyk, etc.).
  • Previous experience managing security in software development or in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Vendor-specific cloud certifications, like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
