Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Ministry Director to lead our youth programs (7th-12th grades) at the South Carolina United Methodist Conference. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth ministry and be able to effectively lead and execute programs that foster spiritual growth and development in our youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive youth ministry programs that align with the conference's mission and values
  • Lead and manage a team of volunteers and staff to support youth ministry initiatives
  • Collaborate with church administration and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Design and deliver engaging and relevant programs that meet the spiritual and emotional needs of our youth
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment for our youth
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a ministry, programming, or education-related area, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in youth ministry leadership, preferably in a church setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Passion for youth ministry and a commitment to the spiritual growth and development of our youth
