We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) in Genova, Italy. The successful candidate will be part of the Humanoid Sensing and Perception research group, working on the development of foundation models for robotics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on multi-modal models for object perception and control of object manipulation
- Develop and implement effective solutions on real robotic platforms
- Collaborate with the activities of other team members to meet deliverables and disseminate research
- PhD in a relevant field (machine learning, robotics, computer science or equivalent)
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or C/C++
- Strong publication record
- Ability to properly organize, report and publish scientific and technical papers
- Good command in spoken and written English
- Documented experience working with real robotic systems
- Experience working with modern machine learning methods as Transformers
- Experience in robot control, grasping and or machine vision
- Experience with open source robotics software, simulators (e.g. Gazebo) and middleware (e.g. ROS/YARP)
