Your Team
You will work in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, collaborating with electronics, mechanical, and software engineers to carry out research. The Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line seeks to appoint a full-time Robotics Software Engineer to develop AI algorithms for natural language processing, perception, and robot control.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop algorithms that allow the robot to detect humans in the environment and interact with them using natural language processing.
- Develop algorithms for navigation in dynamical environments, considering human behavior.
- Develop methods for designing and executing robot tasks.
- Participate in field tests and experimental validation.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong motivation to work with real robotic systems.
- Good knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python.
- Good communication skills and ability to cooperate within a team.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
Desirable Qualifications
- A PhD in robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.
- Previous experience working on real robotic systems.
- Knowledge of C++ and development tools (e.g., CMake and GIT).
- Knowledge of Large Language Models (e.g., GPT4, LLAMA, GEMINI), including prompt engineering, models refinement, and API integration.
- Knowledge of open-source robotics software, simulators (e.g., Gazebo), and middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS2/YARP).
- Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., pytorch or others).
- Knowledge of Robot Navigation frameworks (e.g., Nav2).
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- High motivation to learn.
- Spirit of innovation and creativity.
- Good time and priority management.
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
