Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Robotics Software Engineer to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. As a key member of our Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line, you will be responsible for developing AI algorithms for natural language processing, perception, and robot control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement algorithms for human detection and interaction using natural language processing;
  • Develop navigation algorithms for dynamic environments, considering human behavior;
  • Develop methods for designing and executing robot tasks;
  • Participate in field testing and experimental validation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields;
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, or Python;
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning;
  • Previous experience working on real robotic systems;
  • Knowledge of C++ and development tools (e.g., CMake and GIT);
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models (e.g., GPT4, LLAMA, GEMINI) and open-source robotics software.
