Job Title: Software Engineer for Robotics


Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Robotics Software Engineer to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing AI algorithms for natural language processing, perception, and robot control.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop algorithms that allow the robot to detect humans in the environment and interact with them using natural language processing;
  • Develop algorithms for navigation in dynamical environments, taking into consideration the behavior of humans;
  • Develop methods for designing and executing robot tasks;
  • Participate in the field test and experimental validation.

About the Team: You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where electronics, mechanical, and software engineers collaborate to carry out common research. Our team is focused on developing human-centered Science and Technology to tackle societal challenges.


Requirements:



  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines;
  • Strong motivation to work with real robotic systems;
  • Good knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python;
  • Good communication skills and ability to cooperate within a team;
