Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

BeiGene is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our European finance team in Italy. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Director of the Italian affiliate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations supporting finance director.
  • Provide commentary and explanations for financial results, highlighting key drivers and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business owner and business units to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist in the creation of periodic forecasts to support agile decision-making.
  • Partner with department heads to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control departmental spending on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct special financial analyses and projects as requested by senior management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with various departments such as accounting, sales, marketing, and operations to gather data and insights for analysis.
Requirements:
  • University level degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field, MBA / Further education in Finance an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance, Forecasting or Analytics and Accounting & Tax.
  • Experience in PowerBI analysis is a must.
  • Experience in SAP is mandatory. (4HANA a plus)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software, ERP systems).
  • Comfortable in operating in a non-structured fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, inventory, taxation especially in pharma field, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical / Lifesciences mandatory.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills in finance, forecasting, financial analysis and budgeting. An understanding of business disciplines in order to develop, analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting/Business/Finance Bachelor degree with at least 5 years of experience in a multinational finance environment (Experience in Pharmaceutical / Lifesciences mandatory).
  • Willingness to be hands-on; desire to work in a fast paced, changing (currently unstructured) environment, good communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity, excellent spoken/written English.
