About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Development Manager to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supplier performance and capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct supplier performance and capability assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance supplier performance and capability
  • Collaborate with procurement, industry, engineering, and quality teams to ensure effective supplier management
  • Provide coaching and guidance to suppliers to improve their performance and capability
  • Identify and mitigate supplier risks to ensure on-time and on-quality delivery
Requirements
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, or other technical sectors
  • Proven experience in supplier development or supplier performance management
  • Supply chain management background with APICS certification a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC
  • Ability to improve supplier performance using appropriate tools and lean methodologies
  • APQP and Lean Engineering background a plus
  • English negotiation level required, Italian negotiation level required, French a plus
