Job Title: Supplier Development Manager

Thales Alenia Space is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Development Manager to join our team in Torino or Rome. As a key member of our Supplier Operation department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supplier performance, capability, and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supplier performance improvement plans
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate supplier capability and risk
  • Collaborate with procurement, industry, engineering, and quality teams to ensure effective supplier management
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supplier performance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery
Requirements:
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, or other technical sectors
  • Proven experience in supplier development or supplier performance management
  • Supply chain management background (APICS certification a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC
  • Proven ability to improve supplier performance using appropriate tools and lean methodologies
  • APQP and Lean Engineering background a plus
  • English negotiation level
  • Italian negotiation level
  • French a plus
