Job Title: Treasury Officer

Join the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) as a Treasury Officer and contribute to the organization's mission to eradicate rural poverty and hunger.

About the Role

The Treasury Officer will be responsible for safeguarding IFAD's resources through liquidity planning, borrowing, and management of investments and cash operations. The role will also involve formulating and implementing investment and cash operations strategies and policies, ensuring prompt availability of cash for IFAD operations, and overseeing the integrity of the Fund's daily investment and cash operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and frameworks, financial models, treasury systems, and middle office processes.
  • Build simulations for a range of scenarios to reflect IFAD's current and future resources and financial positions.
  • Analyze results of simulations and identify key inputs for information on resource mobilization priorities/opportunities.
  • Maintain linkages between financial model development and projections of IFAD balance sheet and income statements.
  • Enhance current financial models supporting the development of new functionalities, including the integration of relevant internal and external financial information sources.
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least five years of progressively relevant professional experience in a similar position in capital markets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply a broad range of international and IFAD financial policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a palatable and comprehensible way for all ranges of audience.
  • Knowledge of asset liability management, risk reporting, capital adequacy, quality assurance, and compliance.
