Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Construction Security Specialist to provide physical security support in Italy. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in construction security surveillance techniques, technical surveillance countermeasures, and counterintelligence strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform audits and analysis of construction drawings and specifications to identify security vulnerabilities and associated threats.
  • Apply knowledge of construction security requirements and standards to mitigate technical threats posed by foreign intelligence services.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in US Top Secret SCIF operations.
  • Document all technical standards necessary for SCIF accreditation.
  • Perform in-depth investigations to anomalies associated with construction divisions that pose significant threat to US Government mission.
  • Observe construction and construction workers to apply counterintelligence surveillance strategy and observations.
Technical Description/Skills
  • Identify Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
  • Assess static security techniques and procedures.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Apply construction security surveillance techniques.
  • Perform vehicle and personnel searches.
  • Apply basic technical surveillance techniques and procedures.
  • Knowledge of foreign intelligence and counterintelligence devices and techniques.
  • Technical/mechanical components/systems on Plumbing and HVAC/Mechanical systems.
  • Structural steel/welds/fireproofing.
  • Foundations/footings.
  • Electrical systems.
  • Telecommunication systems/wiring/splicing/patching/switching.
Required Training/Certifications
  • CST Certification course (40 hrs.) within the last 5 years or be able to obtain with 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain TS/SCI eligibility.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of specialized experience (SSM/CST leadership preferred) OR
  • High School Diploma with 8 years of specialized experience (SSM/CST leadership preferred)
  • 9 years of specialized experience (construction of security preferred)
