Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Data Architect AWS Strategist to lead our AWS data architecture initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data platforms on AWS, managing client relationships, and mentoring engineers in coding best practices.

About the Role

  • Manage Key Clients: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their data needs are met through effective AWS data platform design and implementation.
  • AWS Center of Excellence: Lead the development and maintenance of the AWS Center of Excellence, ensuring it remains a hub for innovation and expertise in AWS data architecture.
  • Data & Analytics Projects: Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of data & analytics projects on AWS, ensuring they meet business objectives and exceed client expectations.
  • Recruitment and Skill Development: Support the recruitment process by identifying top talent and developing strategies to enhance skills and capabilities within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Data Platform Design: Design and implement large-scale data platforms on AWS, including data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Operations Architecture: Develop operations architectures and conduct performance engineering for large-scale data lakes in production environments.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Apply the Well-Architected Framework to solution design and implementation, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Data Ingestion Solutions: Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture by designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on AWS using AWS native services or data management technologies.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor other engineers in coding best practices and problem-solving, ensuring knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on AWS.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience). We offer a competitive salary package, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth and professional development.
