About the Role
The Senior Legal Counsel Italy will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to Hager companies in Italy, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The successful candidate will lead the development of the company's Italian Legal Department, focusing on business law support, contract management, and dispute resolution.

Main Responsibilities
- Structure and strengthen the Legal Department in Italy to meet the Group's needs for legal support and services.
- Provide expert legal assistance to management and operational staff on business law matters related to national and international operations and projects.
- Draft, negotiate, and approve legal contracts, policies, and other documents.
- Defend the company's interests in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or other disputes with third parties.
- Manage and lead large-scale M&A projects, partnerships, and transactions independently with general supervision.

Requirements
- A Law degree from a recognized institution and additional certifications or postgraduate studies in relevant areas are highly valued.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Legal Advisor, preferably in an international business setting, with a proven track record of handling complex legal matters and providing strategic advice.
- In-depth understanding of Italian legal frameworks and regulatory requirements, with the ability to stay updated on legal developments and enhance professional knowledge continuously.
- Familiarity with international legal standards and best practices.
- Fluency in English and Italian (both written and spoken), with knowledge of German or French being advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal implications in a fast-paced business context.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
