About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Lyon, France. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with customers, service providers, and partners across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including SaaS contracts, master service agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and SLAs.
  • Providing practical advice, decision support, and recommendations to legal-related queries from operational teams across several countries.
  • Managing GDPR compliance projects with the Data Protection Officer.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and good corporate governance.
  • Managing potential pre-litigation and litigation matters.
  • Helping to set up processes to structure the legal department and the business.

Requirements:

  • Generalist degree in business law and/or contract law.
  • At least 4 years of experience in similar missions, preferably as in-house counsel in an international company or within a law firm.
  • Strong capacity to adapt and willingness to work on a broad/generalist scope with a business and operational perspective.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English (most exchanges will be in English). Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Strong appetite for new and complex legal and technological challenges.
  • Rigor, organization, management of priorities, and adaptation to a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong ability to work with other teams as a business partner.
