Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Dispatcher to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and improving transportation delivery methods and routes to ensure compliance with state and federal transportation laws.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate shipments and maintain logs and records of goods
- Dispatch multiple drivers and work crews for pickups and deliveries
- Monitor fleet vehicles and review routes for improvements in transit times and costs
- Track and trace all shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Develop and implement metrics to determine carrier performance
- Knowledge of transportation and distribution systems, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Personal computers and software application operation (Microsoft Office and Google suites)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, think critically, and reason
- Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the transportation industry
- Dispatching and logistic planning experience
- College degree in transportation, logistics, or applicable field
