Job Title: Project Buyer

Location: Modena, Italy

Datasensing is a high-tech company that values innovation and collaboration. As a Project Buyer, you will play a key role in driving our company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D sourcing activities and processes during new product development
  • Support supplier Quality, Cost, and delivery targets and execute Sourcing and Procurement actions in each project
  • Presents TCO analysis to support data-driven supplier award decisions, collecting and analyzing part and mold cost breakdown
  • Support each check point with detailed BOM direct cost analysis bringing evidence of main gaps to CT, escalating to global procurement organization critical cost increase
  • Apply commodity sourcing strategy for project components
  • Make or buy analysis
  • Schedule and coordinate the prototyping of tools and product samples (Alpha, Beta, and Pilot build) assuring suppliers OTD commitment
  • Ensure all project check point phases closure on time
  • Supplier tooling management for NPD projects (Mould negotiations, mold cost breakdown analysis, confirmation of possession of Datasensing materials)
  • Implementing technical saving initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or Physics or High School diploma with relevant experience in complex similar organizations in sourcing & procurement. MCIPS or Master considered as a plus
  • 3 years of Strategic Sourcing/Commodity Management/Project Sourcing/Procurement in Electronic/Industrial/Automotive field
  • Languages: Italian, English (business fluent)
  • Capability to interact technically with R&D team
  • Capability to define and implement commodity strategies
  • Competence in contract and supplier agreements
  • Precision, analytical thinking, excellent timing, and priority management
  • Excellent team player and collaborative style in an international environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good technical knowledge of mechanical parts and electronics components and PCB as a plus
  • Good knowledge of SAP is a plus
