Position Overview
The role of the Medical Information and Adverse Event Intake Specialist requires proficiency in both German and English. This position is essential in ensuring patient safety through direct engagement with healthcare professionals and patients. You will be responsible for delivering key medical information services and processing safety and product quality data across various therapeutic areas. This role offers flexibility in work arrangements, allowing for home-based, hybrid, or office-based options.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephone support to healthcare professionals and consumers regarding adverse events, product quality issues, medical inquiries, and other relevant needs.
- Manage lifecycle safety operational data, including data entry, coding medical terminology, and performing quality control to ensure accuracy.
- Document incoming communications from investigative sites or other sources reporting safety data.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, offering guidance and training to less experienced colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with operations and customer delivery managers regarding project metrics and challenges.
- Work closely with project managers to identify issues, propose solutions, and provide necessary technical support.
- Engage in training initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science field is required.
- Fluency in English (minimum C1) and native proficiency in German is essential.
- Experience in lifecycle safety, including pharmacovigilance and medical information, is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
