Fater, an Italian company and equal joint venture between Procter & Gamble and Angelini Industries, is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join its team. The company is a global leader in the production and distribution of detergent products and absorbent products for the person.
Fater is a dynamic company that invests heavily in innovation, with a focus on sustainability and cost efficiency. The company has a strong presence in the Western, Central, and Eastern European markets, with production plants in Italy, Portugal, and Turkey.
The ChallengeWe are looking for a talented Assistant Buyer – Direct Materials to contribute to our supply chain team. As a key player in sourcing, contract management, and negotiations, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful cross-functional projects, including new product launches.
What You Will DoAs an Assistant Buyer – Direct Materials, your responsibilities will include:
**Strategic Sourcing & Scouting**: Collaborate with the Senior Buyer to identify and evaluate suppliers, ensuring quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
**Contract Management**: Support contract negotiations and maintain vendor relationships to secure the best possible terms for the company.
**Project Coordination**: Contribute to cross-functional projects, especially those involving sustainability, innovation, and new product development.
**Analysis & Reporting**: Perform data analysis and reporting to support decision-making, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier performance evaluation.
**Relationship Building**: Develop strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration in a global context.
What You Need To Succeed:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Business & Management Engineering) or a related technical field; a Master's is a plus.
* Up to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a relevant role.
* Strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Fluency in English and Italian, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
