Job Summary:

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead technical projects and ensure their delivery according to quality, cost, performance, and scheduled commitments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the technical contractual scope of the project, identifying and mitigating technical risks, and validating design choices with peers and Solution Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical contractual scope of the project, ensuring delivery according to quality, cost, performance, and scheduled commitments.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, developing and implementing effective mitigation plans.
  • Validate technical design choices with peers and Solution Directors, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Deploy applicable engineering processes, methods, and tools on the project, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
  • Manage the project solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) commitments, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Be responsible for project design and application engineering activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Supervise Verification and Validation activities, ensuring that all project deliverables meet required quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Engineering background with full lifecycle view of project deployment.
  • Relevant experience in managing technical projects, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Hands-on experience in functional or hierarchical team management, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope, with a strong understanding of project financials and resource allocation.
  • Hands-on experience in customer relationship management in contractual situations, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with a strong ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
