Job Summary:

OHB Italia is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join its Telescopes Department in Milan. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects related to ground telescope instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Customer Interface: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supplier Management: Coordinate and manage external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage internal resources and activities to ensure project success.
  • Meeting Coordination: Prepare and coordinate meetings, reviews, and workshops to ensure project progress.
  • Project Economics: Define and manage project-related economics, including cost estimation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks to minimize their impact.
  • Project Changes: Manage project changes and ensure they are implemented smoothly.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress and performance to ensure it meets expectations.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Astrophysics, Optics & Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, or a comparable field.
  • 5 years of experience in technical roles in optical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the space industry.

  • Planning and scheduling techniques mastery.
  • Risk management skills.
  • Contract change management experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
