We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Manager to join our team in Rome, Italy.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing wind, PV, and BESS projects in Italy from early stage through investment decision and handover to the construction and operations team. This role requires strong project management skills, commercial awareness, and ability to collaborate globally in cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver assigned projects according to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards;
  • Manage the permitting process, including EIA and Single Permit documentation, relationships with authorities, and representation of interests during technical debates;
  • BUILD AND CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH LAND OWNERS TO ESTABLISH A POSITIVE LINK WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES;
  • Improve project competitiveness by challenging assumptions to reduce LCoE and/or improve LRoE, in collaboration with Investment Manager;
  • Manage site pre-selection, environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition, land leases agreements, environmental impact assessment approval, and building permit achievement.

Requirements

  • Significant work experience (3-10 years+) in solar and/or wind development in Italy;
  • Degree in engineering, business administration, economics, law, or comparable studies;
  • Proven knowledge of the Italian Renewables market, with competence in scouting and consenting processes in Italy, and proven network;
  • Able to demonstrate commercial awareness and understanding of key commercial drivers to the energy sector;
  • Ability to collaborate globally in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate internally and externally;
  • Show continuous improvement attitude by constantly optimizing the business;
  • Fluent in Italian and English, other languages such as Spanish are a plus;
  • Valid driving license.

Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
