Chemical Lab Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Lab Lead to join our team in Italy. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of chemical and physical analyses, as well as maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and service.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that analyses are performed accurately and on time, in accordance with specifications and methods of analysis.
- Manage laboratory personnel, guiding them to achieve goals, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards, and developing individual and team capabilities to achieve targets and continuous improvement.
- Involve and motivate the team by sharing company and area objectives, helping them understand the value added by their work, and always considering the final patient.
- Define training needs and implement development plans. Provide coaching and create opportunities for improving team skills and performance. Conduct gemba to identify risks and improvements.
- Represent a model of reference by implementing GSK values, GMP norms, data integrity aspects, company EHS policies, and GSK expectations regarding behavior.
- Perform safety officer duties.
- Manage area deviation investigations, sharing actions to be taken in suitable locations.
- Identify and resolve problems by applying the problem-solving process, involving area personnel and relevant company functions.
- Be present during shifts, supervising critical process analytical phases and problem resolution.
- Participate in area meetings, monitoring useful data and potential actions, and L1, L2, L3, and L4 audits, both qualitative and EHS.
- Experience in a similar role.
- University degree in scientific fields.
- Availability to work on shifts (7/15 – 14/22).
- Good knowledge of computer systems and English language.
- Specific laboratory analysis and chemistry knowledge, as well as EHS and compliance awareness related to the area.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Business understanding.
