Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Residence Inn Naples. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall finances of the housekeeping department, including supply costs and vendor negotiations.
• Manage supply costs by negotiating and reviewing with vendors and safeguarding existing supplies.
• Follow CSM procurement guidelines and apply good business judgment.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing quality room cleanliness and room supplies.
• Respond to guest concerns or requests in a courteous and friendly manner, focusing on service recovery when applicable.
• Train and model appropriate guest service standards for staff.
• Conduct routine inspections of housekeeping operations to maintain standards per CSM, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date information in Material Safety Data Sheets to ensure proper procedures when using chemicals.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, and follow all CSM procedures for guest/employee incidents.
• Evaluate staff performance and take corrective action as needed to hold employees accountable.
• Motivate staff by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding/recognizing employees.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, and development of all employees.
• Responsible for all required training for department employees and ensuring training records are maintained.
• Promote collaboration and a positive, professional work environment.
• Attend all daily, weekly, and/or monthly department/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication/planning occurs.
• Use expertise to advise and implement changes to housekeeping operations as needed.
• Responsible for all housekeeping/laundry initiatives and meeting productivity standards at the hotel level.
• Must have high attention to detail, good communication skills, leadership ability, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work in an environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
Bonus Plan:
Up to 10% bonus plan paid quarterly.

Competencies/Skills Required:
2+ years of progressive housekeeping management experience required.
Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with employees and guests.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bi-lingual ability preferred.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift. Significant bending required.
