Theater Host

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Theater Host to join our team at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that every visitor has an amazing time at our theaters.

• Guest Interactions: Provide top-notch customer service, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Theater Operations: Assist with theater cleaning, ensuring that each seat is sanitized and ready for the next show.
• Order Management: Launch and manage guest orders from POS entry to delivery, ensuring seamless execution.
• Opening and Closing Duties: Perform assigned tasks during opening and closing shifts, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Assistive Listening and Captioning: Maintain assistive listening and close-captioned devices, ensuring accessibility for all guests.
• Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with the management team to troubleshoot guest issues and maintain a positive, team-driven atmosphere.
• Lobby and Seating Experience: Own the lobby and seating experience, maintaining socially distant lines, announcing theater seating, and guiding guests to theaters/facilities as needed.
• Menu and Film Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of our core and limited-time-only menu offerings, as well as the films and events playing in our theaters.
• Cleanliness and Safety: Uphold world-class cleanliness standards for the venue, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for guests and team members.

• Experience: 2+ years in a high-volume restaurant or theater environment.
• Collaboration and Flexibility: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with schedule flexibility to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Certifications: Active alcohol certification and food handlers certification.
• Physical Demands: Ability to execute light lifting, stand for extended periods, and walk up and down stairs.
