Pricing Actuary Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuary to join our team as a Pricing Actuary, focusing on the Italian market. As a key member of our Actuarial Department, you will play a crucial role in shaping our pricing strategies and ensuring the accuracy of our actuarial models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to analyze and develop pricing proposals, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Lead the assessment of technical feasibility for marketing solutions, collaborating with internal committees and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our product offer, including contracting, pricing, and new guarantees.
  • Review and validate the work of junior actuaries, ensuring adherence to our Underwriting Policy and internal guidelines.
  • Apply profitability and stress scenarios tests, verifying accuracy and consistency.
  • Collect and analyze market and product statistics, benchmarks, and market issues to inform pricing decisions.
  • Document new pricing and underwriting schedules, maintaining a table of pricing assumptions by product.
  • Prepare and present Business Plans and Business Committee documents for internal validation.
  • Ensure completion of peer reviews and compliance with processes.
Analysis and Projects
  • Perform client portfolio analysis, preparing client reports and presentations as required.
  • Liaise with Reserving and Modelling teams to ensure a consistent and efficient view from the Actuarial Department.
  • Perform experience analysis and assist with updating pricing assumptions/assessing pricing adequacy.
  • Contribute to or lead projects as assigned, including tenders.
  • Prepare and contribute to internal ML presentations and communications as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor pricing analysts in carrying out analysis and project work.
People First
  • Partner with HR in recruitment and integration of new joiners, reviewing CVs, interviewing candidates, and coordinating onboarding.
  • Facilitate development of direct reports, providing regular feedback, proactive performance management, and advocating for knowledge sharing.
  • Assign work to and manage the workload of direct reports, prioritizing tasks and optimizing processes while ensuring strong governance and accountability.
  • Perform the duties of senior actuary in diffusing knowledge/information within the Actuarial Department.
  • Lead and build on the continued engagement and motivation of the team, enhancing our CACI culture.
  • Drive IER Engagement Survey and GTPW, providing feedback on results and developing action plans to encourage critical thinking and openness to ideas.
