About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Senior System Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Assago (MI), Italy. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our z/OS environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring and managing software in the z/OS environment at both LPAR and sysplex levels.
  • Exploring new z/OS features and implementing them as needed.
  • Maintaining hardware configuration and leveraging hardware features to optimize system performance.
  • Installing new products and ensuring they're up-to-date with the latest fixes or PTFs.
  • Providing support and guidance to new projects and collaborating with other teams within the company and with clients and counterparties.

You'll work closely with our technical support team to investigate and resolve issues, consult monitoring tools and capacity planning, and analyze and manage high-availability and disaster recovery procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Deep technical knowledge of z/OS system configuration, JES2, and common z/OS products, as well as device management (DFSMS) and z/OS operations.
  • Familiarity with major distributed operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Knowledge of information security standards and GDPR regulations.
  • Programming experience.
  • A propensity for innovation and business evolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.

Assuming a salary range for a senior system infrastructure specialist in Italy, we estimate an annual salary between €80,000 to €120,000 depending on your experience and qualifications.
