Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Cable Systems Engineer to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering submarine cable systems at both the tender and contract stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define technically acceptable and commercially competitive cable and cable system designs in line with customer requirements and environmental constraints.
- Conduct calculations and studies in the thermal, electromagnetic, and mechanical fields to optimize cable and system design.
- Prepare technical documentation for customers and specifications for internal or subcontractor use.
- Participate in meetings with customers' representatives to ensure compliance with customer requirements and satisfaction.
- Produce detailed costing of all materials and services and technical content for customer submission.
- Support Contracts Engineering Execution Manager in preparing formal documentation and design information for manufacture and installation activities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical and Energy preferred).
- 3-5 years' experience in engineering field.
- Good attitude to calculation and computer solution.
- Experience with electromagnetic, thermal, or mechanical design calculation methods and computer solutions (e.g., FEM, CFD, circuit analysis).
- Ability to combine technical knowledge with communications and liaison skills, both internally and with customer representatives.
